The next generation will be flexible?
Samsung's flexible screens - next year. The Wall Street Journal reports that the Samsung screens Division entered the final stage in the development of flexible screens, and plans to begin producing them in the first half of 2013. Reporting based on the source name not stated, and the company just said they presented examples of the screens a few customers, but the date of distribution has not been determined.

OLED technology uses a flexible plastic instead of glass, which should allow manufacturers gadgets, phones and other mobile devices to make them more flexible and more difficult for demolition. Moreover, it is expected to reduce the weight of the chosen new technology gadgets than current generations.

Currently, this is the first stage of the technology, which will be produced in relatively small screens of a few inches. It will take another few years until the companies will overcome technological obstacles in producing flexible screens in sizes suitable for the living room,

Samsung is not the only pursuit launch flexible screens. Also its biggest competitor, LG, as well as Sony, previously presented examples of this technology. Samsung itself, remember, introduced the flexible screens late last year, while arguing that will appear as early as 2012, but had to change the schedule. Even now, it seems, Samsung hopes to be the first to bring the technology to market.
