Trying to get the Flash technology, Apple products, Adobe takes the Wallaby: a tool that allows converting Flash to HTML 5
Another phase of the Adobe Flash saga with Apple. Adobe today launches a new tool named Wallaby, which allows developers to convert Flash files and HTML files 5, and also allow the work platform that do not support flash - like that of Apple. Wallaby gives developers the option to convert flash file is created in HTML 5 standard file with the click of a button. After the conversion can be edited using standard HTML editing software. However, much of the functionality of Flash is lost in the process, since the converted files include only the features of the technology underlying, and things like filters and combining colors. These will not be able to work without full use of Flash. Critics of the new technology stress the fact that Wallaby able to convert only a simple flash content, not able to convert the features of Flash rich, and claim that this experiment makes it its early stages and a great step forward. "The initial goal is to enable the production banner advertisements that they can work on Ayepunim, iPods Vayepdim," said Tom Hursley, Adobe product manager. He himself admits that right now the technology is "a viable, but problematic." "This is an experimental technology that provides innovative look at what we do around Flash and HTML, and shows our investment in both technologies," he said, noting that Wallaby also allows use of SVG technologies and CSS. He said the company is waiting for feedback from users before you add support for other aspects of HTML 5.
