The world's largest social network, has some 900 million users, announced tonight (Thursday) that in the coming weeks it will open a network application store called App Center, will be available through the browser, as well as through applications for Android and IOS operating system of Apple.
The store, which will include both applications within Facebook itself (HTML5) and applications which can be downloaded to your computer or mobile phone (as long as these are connected to Facebook), will support not only free applications but also for ones that come free. The goal, according to members of Facebook, is "to promote mobile applications that use Facebook." Facebook apps will handle the company itself, when lowering the Android or iPhone applications it will send you the relevant store.
One of the unique parts of Facebook apps store is its customization. Each user sees a customized version of the store, based on personal preferences and usage history, its applications. In addition, Facebook will take into account the popularity of the app in your age group, and the rating that it received the people who use it. "Well-designed applications which benefit people will receive a prominent place. Applications receiving bad reviews or are not compatible with our quality standards will not get anywhere at all," the statement said of Facebook.
It is still unclear exactly when the App Center will air, but Facebook has invited the developer to begin work on creating descriptive pages of their applications. The company's announcement states that priority will be given to applications may be filed before May 18.
